Cookie Policy
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit it. They allow the site to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and help us understand how the site is used—all in a way that can be controlled and transparent. For more on how cookies work, see All About Cookies.
How we use cookies
QLYX Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies only where necessary:
- Essential cookies — Required for the QLYX dashboard (login, session, security). These do not require consent and cannot be disabled if you use the service.
- Analytics cookies — Used on websites that use QLYX tracking to count visits and understand traffic. These are only set when the site owner has obtained your consent (e.g. via a GDPR-style consent banner).
- Preference cookies — Store your choices (e.g. consent status) so we do not ask again and can respect your preferences.
We do not use cookies for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking.
Cookies we use
Below is a summary of the main cookies and similar technologies we use. Exact names may vary slightly depending on the product version.
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration | Essential? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session / auth cookies | Keep you logged in to the QLYX dashboard and secure your session. | Session or up to 30 days (e.g. “Remember me”) | Yes |
| Consent / preference | Remember your cookie consent choice on sites using QLYX (e.g. “Accept” / “Reject” non-essential). | Up to 12 months | No (consent-based) |
| Analytics (on tracked sites) | Count visits and basic metrics on websites that use QLYX tracking script, when consent is given. | Session or short-lived (e.g. 30 days) | No (consent-based) |
Similar technologies
We may use browser and device storage similar to cookies where it helps the service work correctly:
- Local storage / session storage — To store preferences or temporary data (e.g. consent state, UI preferences) on your device. We do not use these for tracking across other websites.
Legal basis
We use cookies in line with applicable law:
- Essential cookies: Necessary for the performance of our contract with you (using the QLYX service) and for our legitimate interest in security.
- Analytics and preference cookies: Based on your consent, which you can give or withdraw via the consent banner on sites using QLYX or via your browser settings.
Managing cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Consent banner: On websites that use QLYX Analytics, use the cookie banner to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
- Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. See your browser’s help (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) for how to do this. Blocking all cookies may affect login and some features of the QLYX dashboard.
- Withdraw consent: If you previously accepted analytics or preference cookies, you can withdraw consent via the same banner or by clearing cookies for the site.
Withdrawing consent or blocking non-essential cookies may limit analytics features on sites using QLYX but will not prevent you from using the QLYX dashboard with essential cookies.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect product or legal changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
